Fort Lauderdale, FL – Boca Raton Football Club took another huge step in the right direction on Monday, May 30th as the club took on the Jamaican National team as the Reggae Boys made its finals preparations for the Copa America Centenario.

“Playing a team like Jamaica was huge for us,” said Head Coach Pedro Yunes. “We kept our shape during the entire match, and were able to have some quality counter attacks versus the strongest opposition we will face all season.”

Jamaica scored two goals in the first half, but in the second half both Boca Raton and Jamaica seemed evenly matched, even with Jamaica playing with a handful of starters in the second half.

“It was a quality match by us,” said captain Shane McInerney. “We will take this loss like a win and continue to move forward during the APSL Season as we focus on Uruguay Kendall for our Home Opener on June 11.”

Boca Raton FC will not play this weekend in APSL action, and will resume its title defense next week June 11 in an APSL Championship Finals Rematch as Uruguay Kendall comes to Lynn Univerity’s Bobby Campbell Stadium to take on Boca Raton in their Home Opener.

Tickets are only $10 for the game and can be purchased at www.bocaratonfc.com/tickets.
