Boca Raton, FL – Boca Raton Football Club continues its acquisitions ahead of their inaugural May 1st matchup versus South Florida FC.

The clubs announced today the signing of 6″4 defender, Stefano Bontempo.

“I’ve known Stefano for a long time,” says head coach Marcelo Castillo. “The addition of a tall defender like him will boost our roster tremendously.”

A 2002 State Champion with Olympic Heights High School, Bontempo joins Boca Raton FC from PDL-side Floridians FC.

“I’ve known Marcelo for quite some time now,” says the 29-year old from Sao Paulo, Brazil. “We’ve played together in the past and I was excited for the opportunity of a local team getting together.”

Boca Raton FC continues its local-centric mentality with the addition of Bontempo, who like many players on the squad, have played under coach Castillo in the past.

“I’ve known the guys since I as 15, they are part of a family that we’ve established and the coaching staff is great, Marcelo knows how to win.”

As for his thoughts on the upcoming season, Bontempo was quick with his reply, “Tough, fun, and we are going to show the other teams we are not here to play around, but to win.”

Boca Raton FC opens up their inaugural 2015 APSL season on May 1 at Boca Raton HS Stadium. For tickets, go to www.bocaratonfc.com/tickets or call 561-910-4336.
