Boca Raton Football Club is delighted to announce the start of The Boca Raton FC Goalkeeper Academy, led by Boca Raton FC’s goalkeeper coach, Ronald Garcés.

Garcés holds a USSF Coaching License and has been the goalkeeper coach with Storm FC during the last season. He previously served in the same role for South Florida FC.

A native of Venezuela, Garcés played for Carabobo FC, Estrela Roja, Yaracuyanos FC (all of the Venezuelan First Division), and Fort Lauderdale Strikers in 2015, when he moved to the United States.

Garcés was a member of the Venezuelan U-20 National Team and was a member of the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup team that played in Egypt.

Open to all goalkeepers; the Boca Raton FC Goalkeeper Academy will be open to all goalies from all clubs; it will not be mandatory that the player is a member of Boca Raton FC to join.

“I am very excited for this opportunity to help goalkeepers improve their talents,” said Garcés of The Academy. “With my experience as both a former goalie and now a goalkeeper coach, we will bring the same professional training sessions that we have with the main Boca Raton FC team to the rest our soccer community.”

Open to all ages, the Goalie Academy is open for boys, girls, men, and women.

“This is another proof that Boca Raton FC is looking forward to supporting and making local soccer grow,” said Boca Raton FC president, Douglas Heizer. “We know the importance of having good goalies, we were very fortunate to be able to offer this to our players since the start of the club, and now we have the opportunity to extend this for all clubs across South Florida.”

Sessions will start from $40 for a one-time session and $28 per session with a three-month agreement*.
