LAUDERHILL, FL – Boca Raton FC fell to South Florida FC 5-3 on Sunday night at Central Broward Regional Park.

Playing on two days rest, and only 12 available players due to injury and red cards from last season’s APSL Final, Boca Raton took the early 2-0 lead thanks to a brace by Xavier Silva, but eventually were unable to keep up with the fresh legs of South Florida FC and the home team came back to tie it early in the second half.

Bruno Militz gave Boca the lead once again in the second half after grabbing a rebound, but in the end, South Florida FC’s substitutes were the difference.

The loss snaps Boca Raton FC’s year-long APSL unbeaten streak, having last lost to an APSL opponent on May 14, 2015 when Miami Dade FC defeated Boca at home.

Boca Raton returns to the pitch this Sunday at 3pm to take on Miami Storm FC at Tropical Park.
