Boca Raton Football Club and forward Xavier Silva have agreed to terms on a deal for the 2015 Fall Season.

A product of North Broward Prep High School, Silva led the Eagles in scoring both his Junior (25 goals) and Senior year. During his senior year, Silva had his best season, scoring 27 goals and assisting on 12 on his way to being named the team MVP, Broward County All-Star first team.

Ranked number 36 in College Soccer News’ Top 150 College Soccer Recruits, Silva signed with Florida Gulf Coast University in 2011 where he was named the Atlantic Sun Freshmen of the Year after scoring six goals in 15 matches for the Eagles. Silva also had a FGCU-best four game-winners.

“Silva is a great quality player,” says head coach Marcelo Castillo. “He came to our open tryouts and he impressed early and we knew we had something special.”

Playing for the Palm Beach Suns of PDL this past season, Silva led the team in scoring with six goals and had two assists.

“I’m very excited to be playing for a team in my backyard and to come back to where it all started,” says Silva. “I’m very excited to be part of this winning organization, to win more games, and score goals for a team with a lot of goalscoring traditions. And of course, I want to help this team get as deep as possible in the U.S. Open Cup”

Silva will suit up for Boca Raton FC’s matchup versus Miami Fusion this Saturday at Lockhart Stadium. Tickets for the game can still be purchased at www.strikers.com/tickets. Use the promo code SFCC for discounted tickets.
