BOCA RATON, FL –– As the preparations for the 2018 National Premier Soccer League continue, Boca Raton FC is proud to announce the signing of Josehp Sosa for the 2018 Season.

A native of Caracas, Venezuela, Sosa debuted as a professional in his home country at the age of 17 and since then has played in some big club in Venezuela, including Vigia FC, and Caracas FC.

The 25-year-old defender comes to Boca Raton FC after being part of the club’s open tryout and since then has made a huge impact in Jim Rooney’s team.

“Josehp impressed me from day one,” said head coach Jim Rooney. “His ability to read the game, his composure on and, and off the field, those were all telltale signs that he has played in the highest level and knows what it takes to get there.”

“I am ready to assume this new challenge that God has put me on the to with great seriousness, and commitment,” said Sosa. “I’m thankful to the club and the coaching staff for trusting my talent and being part of this 2018 NPSL season.”

Sosa has already played in a few scrimmages and preseason games with the club and has been a big part of a defense which Rooney believes will be able to hang with the best of them in the Sunshine Conference.

“Having a coach like Jim Rooney is a dream,” added Sosa. “He demonstrates in each training his quality as a player and also a coach. The group is absorbing as much as we can from him in order to have a successful 2018 campaign.”
