Boca Raton FC will compete in the 2017 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup this season, playing in the First Round on Wednesday, May 10. 2017 will mark the second successive year that the club has qualified for the US Open Cup.
The US Open Cup is in the 104th year of competition and Boca Raton FC’s opponent will be announced by US Soccer on April 12, along with potential Second Round match ups. If Boca Raton FC advances past the first round the club will matched up against a USL or NASL team. Clubs from Major League Soccer will enter the competition in Round 4. As has been the case now for several years, match ups in Rounds 1 through 4 are determined geographically. Boca Raton FC has the potential to meet in-state pro rivals Jacksonville Armada FC, Tampa Bay Rowdies or Miami FC beginning in Round 2 and Orlando City SC beginning in Round 4.
The club will compete in NPSL, APSL and the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup during 2017. The squad is now engaged in preseason training as well as competitive scrimmages every week to prepare for the upcoming campaign. Fans are invited to come to Coral Springs’ Mullins Park every Sunday evening between now and the start of the APSL season to watch Boca Raton FC’s preseason preparations.
Boca Raton FC season passes for 2017 are now available starting at $65.
