AUBURNDALE, FL — Boca Raton Football Club gave everything they had but were unable to defeat Tropics Soccer Club on Saturday, July 6 at Lake Myrtle Sports Complex falling to the eventual Florida Champions, 3-1.

Tropics SC scored early in the seventh minute as Victor Parreiras scored his third goal in as many playoffs games.

Boca Raton FC returned the favor 10 minutes later when Gabrel Diniz was able to beat his defender on the dribble to send a beautiful cross to the box that Maher Soua was able to send it to the upper 90 of the goal to tie it all up.

Tropics’ Parreiras scored another goal late in the first half to give the home team the 2-1 lead heading to the locker room.

Boca Raton FC turned up the pressure in the second half as they looked for the equalizer. Playing with great possession, Boca Raton FC got close a few times but were unable to capitalize.

Tropics got their third goal late in the second half from Ricardo Diegues to give the home side the comfortable 3-1 lead late in the game.
